China is the largest international presence in the 2026 exhibitor list. Why that matters for an industry that imports most of its raw materials.

Of the companies on the 2026 Pharma Asia exhibitor list, 45 are from China — by far the largest group from outside Pakistan. Eighteen of them are in Hall 3, with others in Halls 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6.

Who is coming

The names show the range: pharmaceutical producers such as Zhejiang Jingxin Pharmaceutical, Reyoung Pharmaceutical, Apeloa Pharmaceutical and Hebei Huachen Pharmaceutical Group; chemical suppliers such as Shanghai Hope-Chem and Anhui Chico Chemical; packaging material makers such as Hebei Kaicheng Packaging and Henan Roshn Packaging Material; and machinery builders including Truking Technology, Tofflon Science & Technology Group, Changzhou Haijiang Drying Equipment and Qingdao Feifan Packaging Machinery.

Pakistan makes nearly 85% of its finished medicines at home but still imports almost 90% of its active pharmaceutical ingredients and other raw materials, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal said at the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical & Healthcare B2B Investment Conference in Islamabad in July 2026. That conference, organised by SIFC, the health ministry and DRAP, brought about 160 Chinese pharmaceutical companies together with around 340 Pakistani firms.

A December 2025 IPRI policy paper found that China supplied 58.6% of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical imports in FY24, ahead of India at 13.5%.

What this means for buyers

  • Pharma Asia lets Pakistani manufacturers meet Chinese API, excipient and packaging suppliers face to face, alongside local importers and distributors.
  • Localising API production is now an explicit government aim, so joint ventures and technology transfer are likely topics on the show floor. Read more in our article on API dependence.
