Planning your visit to Pharma Asia: registration, timings and getting around
Everything a trade visitor needs for the three days: the E-Pass, opening hours, the seven halls and the convention.

In this article
Pharma Asia is a trade exhibition for trade and corporate visitors, and it runs for three days, so a little planning goes a long way.
Before you go
- Register for your E-Pass online at the Pharma Asia registration page.
- Make a shortlist from the exhibitor list, which gives each company’s hall and stand number.
- Book meetings in advance with the suppliers that matter most; the busiest stands fill their diaries early.
Dates and timings
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Tuesday 20 October 2026 | 10 am – 7 pm |
| Wednesday 21 October 2026 | 10 am – 7 pm |
| Thursday 22 October 2026 | 10 am – 7 pm |
Finding your way
Exhibitors are spread across Halls 1 to 7 of the Karachi Expo Centre on Main University Road. Laboratory and scientific suppliers are concentrated in Hall 5, machinery in Hall 4, and many Chinese manufacturers in Hall 3. Our hall-by-hall guide has more detail.
Who can visit
Pharma Asia is a trade event for professionals in and around the pharmaceutical industry: manufacturers, exporters, distributors and importers, pharmacists, regulators and government officials, commercial attachés and foreign delegates, researchers, academics and students from pharmacy and medical institutions. Visitors under 18 are not admitted.
What to bring
- Your E-Pass confirmation and an identity document.
- Plenty of business cards — or a digital card ready on your phone.
- Your shortlist with stand numbers and any meeting times.
- Product specifications or drawings if you are looking for a specific machine, material or service, so suppliers can give useful answers on the spot.
- Comfortable shoes: seven halls make for a lot of walking.
A three-day plan
| Day | Suggested focus |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | Priority meetings and the halls most relevant to your work |
| Day 2 | Convention sessions, new suppliers and technical discussions |
| Day 3 | Return visits, price discussions and follow-up appointments |
Mornings are usually quieter than afternoons, so the first hours of each day are a good time for detailed technical conversations.
Getting the most from stand visits
- Be specific. “We need a blister machine for 300 blisters a minute with a 2D-code printer” gets a better answer than “show me your machines”.
- Ask about service. Spare parts, local engineers and training matter as much as the purchase price.
- Ask for references. Suppliers who have installed equipment in Pakistan can usually arrange a visit to a customer’s plant.
- Take notes on the back of each card so you remember who said what when you follow up.
Getting there
The Karachi Expo Centre is on Main University Road in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, a short distance from the Civic Centre and well connected by the city’s main roads. Allow extra time at peak hours, especially on the opening morning.
After the show
The real value of a visit appears in the weeks that follow. Sort the cards you collected into urgent, interested and for information; send thank-you notes and requests for quotations within a few days; and share what you learned with colleagues who could not attend. If a supplier promised a technical visit or samples, put a date in the diary to follow up. Many of the most useful contacts made at an exhibition turn into business months later, so keep a simple record of who you met and what they offered.
Make time for the convention
The International Pharma Convention runs alongside the exhibition. If compliance, exports or digital supply chains are part of your job, the sessions are worth building into your day.
